This was commissioned to provide a one stop source of information on the subject of Owls and Birds of Prey, together with the work done by the "Owlrescue", a leading authority in rehabilitation, education and conservation issues.
MEET THE BIRDS
The number of birds at the sanctuary has steadily grown.
Since opening, We now look after more than 200 birds, ranging from the smallest to the largest of the owls.
SHOWS
We have been unable to attend many of the shows requested as we have been so busy building our much needed new rehabilitation centre.
Full details of all future shows, along with details on how to book.
MEMBERSHIP
The new rehabilitation centre is not open to the general public.
Open days will be arranged so that people supporting the sanctuary are able to see the birds and meet the staff first hand.
D.R.O.C.Pand the ASHY-FACED BARN OWL (The Dominican Republic Owl Conservation Project)
The ASHY-FACED BARN OWL is now considered to be one of the rarest owls in the world and is found only on the islands of Hispanioia.
One pair of these birds is now in North Wales under our care in the hope that they will successfully breed. This is vital for the continuance of the handful of wild owls stuggling to survive in thier natural habitat.
