DESCRIPTION

Medium to large, eared owl, generally buff, streaked with dark brown above, warm buff streaked with dark brown below. Leg more like ealges with no feather covering. Diet - Fish, amphibians, invertebrates also reptiles, rats and mice.

HABITAT

Woody areas near water, also mangrove forest and coastal areas

DISTRIBUTION

South Myanmar, Thailand, Annam, Malay Peninsular, Sumatra, Borneo, Java and Bali
